Mavado escapes malicious destruction charges

Mavado and his manager Julian Jones-Griffith were freed when they appeared in the St. Ann’s Bay R-M court.

Music News understands that Mavado who was charged with malicious destruction of property was told by the judge that he was free to go, after citing it was a misunderstanding as there was no formal statement indicating that Mavado destroyed any property.

Meanwhile Vado’s manger Julian, who was charged with assault, got off the hook after the complainant revealed to the court that he was never assaulted by him resulting in a dismissal of the case.

But the other members of Mavado’s entourage were not as lucky. They were slapped with some minor charges and are expected to return to court in August.

This is stemming from an incident at a club in Runaway Bay, St. Ann. The Runaway Bay Police reported that the men allegedly damaged motor vehicles during an altercation at the club. A truck with assorted liquor was also reportedly driven away during the incident.

Mavado and his entire entourage were taken to the St. Ann’s Bay lockup following the incident.
